Cocktail Cupcakes will be sponsoring RED Velvet cupcakes today for a ceremony on the Atlanta City Hall steps to with Mayor Kasim Reed to observe "World AIDS Day".

Mayor Kasim Reed to Observe "World AIDS Day" in Atlanta

WHAT:

Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed will hold a candlelight vigil to commemorate World AIDS Day to raise awareness of the AIDS pandemic at 5pm on December 1, 2010. The press conference will take place on the steps of City Hall with many of the City’s civic and community partners.

Mayor Kasim Reed is partnering with (RED)™ to show his support in the fight to help eliminate AIDS by turning Atlanta City Hall and other buildings around the city (RED)™ on December 1.

In addition to the candlelight vigil and landmark lighting, guests will enjoy refreshments provided by Starbucks and Cocktail Cupcakes.

Detection is the first step to prevention, and Mayor Reed and the City of Atlanta, along with all of its partners are committed to increasing HIV and AIDS awareness in the community.

The National AIDS Education and Services for Minorities (NAESM) will administer confidential and anonymous on-site testing for the community at City Hall from 9:30am to 1pm.
